BC-35: ICOM Rapid Charger (same as CM-35)
BC-35: ICOM Desktop Rapid Charger. Charges NiCd and NiMH battery packs such as BP-2, BP-3, BP-5, CM-5A, BP-7, BP-7x, CM-7, CM-7G, CM-7X, BP-8, BP-8H, BP-8sh, BP-8xh, IC-8, BP-202h, BP-202e etc. These chargers are N.O.S. (new old stock) or Factory-reconditioned chargers in full working condition. Same as CM-35 charger.
The ICOM BC-35 & CM-35 can charge battery packs from 7.2v thru 13.2v
Note that the CM-30 / BC-30 chargers can only charge batteries from 7.2v to 12.0v.
The BC-35 is Compatible with radios such as IC-02AT, IC-2AT, IC-03AT, IC-04AT, HTX-202, HTX-404, IC-A20, IC-A21, IC-2GAT, IC-4GAT, IC-32AT, IC-H1, IC-H2, IC-H6, IC-H16, IC-U1, IC-U2, IC-M2, IC-M5, IC-M11, IC-M12, and many more.
The switchplate on the bottom of your battery pack pushes one or more specific micro switches in the charger cup; this directs the charger to apply a specified amount of charge current. If the battery pack has a thermal safety cutoff built inside, the charge rate is Quick, and the charger stops when the battery reaches about 165’ F internally. The thermal device cuts off the current flow to the battery.
Battery packs that do not have thermal cutoff devices installed (BP-3, BP-70, IC-8 etc) direct the charger to output a lower current rate. In these instances, charging stops when you remove the battery from the charger.
